Trip to Salt Lake City

We went to Salt Lake City to see the temple and the amazing lights. Benjamin thought it was pretty neat. He is obssessed with the Moroni and his trumpet "horn" as Benjamin calls it. The weather was cold but not FREEZING. We went on Friday, Dec 12 before the big storm on Saturday, when it turned really, really cold. We stayed at the Super 8 in Lehi. On Saturday, our cousins, Isley and Stahli and their parents, Al and Spencer came to swim with us in the indoor pool. Benjamin went to sleep over at Isley's house...such fun for him! Thanks to Al and Spencer for taking good care of him. He had a great time. Jim and I went to the movie Australia. We thougth it was a good movie even though it was reall long (3hours). I'm not very good at sitting for a long time, my legs start to bug me. We then went to Jan and Kristin Anderson's and they loaded songs on to my ipod!!! YEA...I have had my ipod for a few months and only had one song on it. Thanks to the Andersons for all the help and the peanutbutter cups, sparkling cranberry apple juice, salsa and chips, popcorn and everything else we ate (Jim was supposed to be fasting for his blood work the next morning). We missed the Bryce Westcott's, but I did get to deliver their Christmas gifts to them. Shadow their dog, acted like a ferocious guard dog. He barked and growled at me when I came into the garage...luckily I knew her name and was not bitten. We saw Shelli on Sunday and had a good time teasing Benjamin. Thanks to her for all her help in keeping us healthy. We had a good time and finished our Christmas shopping and got the angel tree gifts done too. Now if I could only get caught up on my things at home!

Thanksgivng at Grandma and Grandpa Westcott's house

We had a great Thanksgivng. It was a good day, with lots of Westcott traditional dishes to eat and family to talk with. All of the sisters, Kristin, Jen and Ally and their spouses and families came, and Bryce with his family. The only family we were missing was Todd. They went to the Adairs for Thanksgivng dinner but we did get to see them. Benjamin played with Isley. It has been his dream for at least a month, which is quite a long time for a 3 year old, to have a sleep over party. So Isley and his brother, Stahli, stayed over at our house, with their parents, Spencer and Allyson. Benjamin absolutely LOVED it! It was so fun for him to have someone to play with. They even got along great, which for two, three year olds, is a major accomplishment! I am so thankful for my little family and my large extended family.
