Jager Franklin Haller

We decided to get another dog. We have been looking and wanting another since we lost Bear. I saw on Facebook that Cari was wanting to find a new home for her German Shepard, Jager. We went and met her, Ben was so excited because he has been wanting to get a dog that could fetch. Jager is not only beautiful she is smart and can sit, stay, fetch, and shake. She loves Ben and Ben loves her. Ben said her name would be, "Jager Franklin (Ben's middle name) Haller". Ben is named after his great-great Grandpa and his Grandpa Haller. He knows that he is the third Benjamin Franklin Haller in the Haller line. He knows that we named him after his Grandpas so he just assumed that because Jager is family her name should be like his! She has been a great addition to our family and we are thankful that we get to have this time with her and continue to make her a part of our Haller family for many years to come. Ben bought her with his money that he earned from selling his San Juan County Fair lamb. She is going to be a great addition to our family!

An EXplODInG NeW yEAr's EvE

Every year we set off some fireworks on New Year's eve. We usually save some from our 4th of July celebration so that we have some to set off on New Year's. This year we had some popper and pop its saved from last year when we trashed a motel room in Moab with silly string, a huge number of poppers and paper that flies out from them and pop its wrapper all over the place. Ben and I went to Blanding the night before New Year's eve and we saw a fireworks stand that was selling fireworks. The guy who ran the place knew that this was the last night he was probably going to sell fireworks and he was ready to make some deals. Ben had $20 to pick out some fireworks for our celebration. I saw the prices that were posted and thought that we weren't going to get much for the $20 but when I asked the man there how much each item that looked fun was it was much cheaper that the posted amount. He gave us a great deal and we got some exciting fireworks. On New Year's eve Ben set them off on our deck...they were great and made our celebration all the better! A boy, fireworks, lighting stuff on fire...it was a great start to 2015!
