Frosty and his brother Austy!

It snowed! Ben was so excited to see those huge flakes of snow falling from the sky. We haven't really played out in the snow much. Some years more than others, we usually just don't have a lot of time for being cold...burrrrr! This year Ben begged to make a snowman on Friday night as he watched the snow coming down. On Saturday morning there was GIGANTIC amounts of snow. Snow that was perfect for making a snowman. The snow was heavy and wet! We scraped the porch and deck noticing how the snow packed. So after we went and picked up our Bountiful Basket of veggies and fruit along with our apples, we started on a snowman. Ben decided his name would be Frosty! Frosty the Snowman! Later he thought Frosty looked lonely. He asked if he could make a brother for Frosty. We decided that he would name the little brother something that rhymed with Frosty. The best we could come up with was Austy...Austin perhaps? It was fun and Ben loved playing out in the snow and building the snowmen. Later that evening our goat, Billy, decided he wanted to see if the carrot for the nose was going to be something good for dinner. He jumped up on Frosty, it had been warmer in the afternoon and Frosty had started to melt a little bit. Billy knocked Frosty's head off his body. Ben and I went to dinner at R&F Restaurant because the power had been off most of the day and I had not cooked anything for dinner. Jim had been called out to plow at 4am that morning so he was in bed sleeping. I promised Ben with the next snow we would built another Frosty!
