Hansel, Grettel and Fred the geese

We have new pets. The geese are Hansel III and Grettel III and Fred, this is our 3rd set of geese and hopefully they will survive. Jim lost his mind and got some more chicks too! We already have about 7 chickens that were purchased so that we would have eggs. One of our hens ended up being a rooster, so now we have him too! Roosters aren't good for much...I especially don't like them crowing early in the morning but I guess we will keep him. I am hoping our geese and baby chicks make it to "grown up" this year! Ben loves to play with them!

EGGELINGS

The Eggeline brothers, Dave and James, came to paint at our house. What a treat for Ben! They were his best friends for two days. I'm sure they went nuts with Ben bugging them all the time they were here. Ben pretended to cook for them and they even let him help paint a little. I laughed so hard as Dave pretended that the hot dog Ben cooked was delicious. They were the nicest guys ever! They did a fantastic job painting our living room, entry way and ceilings. You know how hard it is to paint ceilings? Yes, I am sooo thankful for them. Someday I will have them come and paint more rooms, but for now I think they probably need a rest from Ben!

Heart Hands

Benjamin has learned how to make a heart with his hands. He likes to wear his warm, fuzzy jammies. I wish I had some jammies as nice and cozy as these. Ben told me a joke today...why did the squirrel jump over the moon? 'cauze the dog was wagging his tail? You got me...I don't get it!! He makes me laugh and sometimes I need to remember how silly we can be. Reminder to me...don't take things so seriously. I need that reminder because things don't always make sense lately!

#1 Movie

So we went to the movies a few weeks back...even though this movie has been the most seen movie for several weekends, Jim did not like it! Ben and I did! You can't win all of them.

Best Wishes...

My parents are going on a mission. They came to our home tonight for a little visit before they leave. My mom brought some of her carmel popcorn and some cake. If you know my mom you know that she is an exceptionally good cook and a generous lady. She tries very hard to help everyone and make them happy. She is the glue that holds our family together. My parents have planned and excuted more family reunions than they ever wanted to but they do those things for our family because of their love for our family. My dad is a great guy too. He likes the simple things and is good at giving advice. My dad is a great example of hard work and making things better than you found them. My parents each have their own unique talents and they will give much service in this calling. They both have the talent and ability to teach and both are amazing teachers. We will miss them! Benjamin and I both cried as they left even though I know they aren't going away forever. I will miss just being able to go over and talk with them. I used to go eat lunch with them at their house and now it will just be me there. Mom, I promise I won't make a mess! I don't know what I would do without them and I am glad they are just a phone call away. I know they will be blessed for their service and they are a great example for our family. I love them very much and wish them the best. I couldn't ask for better parents!

New Family Picture!

WoW...I think the photographer took some major years off Jim and I. We look young again! With this look, we have had to invest in a company that makes hairspray! I also can't believe it is April 1, 1987...April fools that is!
